A leading healthcare institution in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Application Support Specialist to provide technical support, monitor application functionality, and conduct user training. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, strong communication skills, and experience in the healthcare sector. Provide first-level technical support to end-users via various communication channels (phone, email, chat, etc.).
Investigate and analyze reported issues with application.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including software bugs, configuration issues an data-related problems.
Escalate issue when necessary and collaborate with vendor to address and fix it.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
2. Application Monitoring:
Monitor the performance and functionality of applications to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Collaborate with the development team to report and resolve recurring issues and bugs.
3. Software Updates and Backup Management:
Assist in the deployment of software updates, patches, and upgrades.
Coordinate with vendors or development teams to ensure timely updates and maintenance.
Responsible for the application backup management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and operation teams, to enhance application functionality and resolve issues.
5. User Training:
Conduct training sessions and create user guides to help end-users understand and effectively utilize software applications.
Ensure that users have the necessary knowledge to maximize their productivity and minimize support requests.
6. Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date documentation related to application configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and known issues.
Create and update support documentation for internal use and end-users.
7. Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing user concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Ensure a prominent level of customer satisfaction and user experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2 - 3 years of working experience in the hospital/healthcare industry is an advantage.
Proven experience in IT administration and support roles.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
Familiarity with IT security practices and protocols.
Project management skills and experience managing IT projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
