Role Summary: The IT Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the IT Department and managing hotel purchasing duties, procuring items at competitive prices without compromising quality.

What will I be doing?

As the IT Executive, your responsibilities include:

  • Maximize hotel profitability through effective IT practices, training, and operational excellence.
  • Reduce IT costs via strategic purchasing and maintenance negotiations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue.
  • Prepare and manage IT budgets and expenses.
  • Establish and test business continuity plans.
  • Provide high-quality IT services aligned with standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with management to optimize information utilization.
  • Implement telephony services meeting minimum standards.
  • Manage guest IT queries efficiently and securely.
  • Maintain brand standards for guest and business IT services.
  • Promote brand use and standards among IT suppliers.
  • Ensure IT resources support business needs and are properly maintained.
  • Assign data ownership and ensure security and compliance.
  • Identify and train successors.
  • Support other Hilton hotels and cross-train IT personnel.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure security standards are met.
  • Conduct self-evaluations of IT practices and manage local projects.
  • Report to management on status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Adhere to security and emergency policies and team member regulations.

Purchasing Responsibilities:

  • Follow hotel purchasing policies.
  • Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Ensure timely procurement and documentation.
  • Conduct market surveys and analyze trends.
  • Safeguard petty cash and monitor contract prices.
  • Maintain inventory and supplier knowledge.
  • Ensure safety and compliance in work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Five to seven years of IT management experience.
  • At least one year in purchasing within hospitality.
  • Technical knowledge of IT management in service organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and training skills.
  • Project management and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English is preferred.
  • Experience with supplies management and international hotel chains.
