Job Title: Enterprise Solutions Specialist III (ESS III)

Job Summary:
As an Enterprise Solutions Specialist III in the SAP Center of Excellence (COE), you will be responsible for leading demand intake, change management activities, enterprise-level communications, and vendor coordination across SAP projects. You will play a strategic role in aligning business demand with IT capabilities, ensuring successful delivery and adoption of SAP-related initiatives. Your analytical capabilities will be essential in interpreting business requirements, tracking benefits, and enabling data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP COE Demand Management:
- Manage the end-to-end SAP demand intake process, from idea capture to prioritization and intake qualification.
- Evaluate demand based on business impact, resource availability, strategic alignment, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Collaborate with business units, Functional Managers, and Finance to facilitate ROM estimation and cost center approvals.
- Track the status of demands through their lifecycle and proactively follow up with stakeholders to drive progress.
- Use data analytics to generate insights from demand trends, resource allocation, and benefit realization.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into demand pipeline, backlog, throughput, and forecasted workload.
- Support benefit classification and ensure proper documentation for auditability.
SAP Change Management:
- Own and operate SAP Change Request Management (ChaRM) within Solution Manager, ensuring end-to-end compliance with SAP change control processes.
- Manage and monitor change documents, workflows, and transport requests across SAP landscapes (DEV, QA, PRD).
- Implement and support dual maintenance strategies during SAP upgrades and parallel development scenarios, ensuring accurate synchronization and retrofit using ChaRM tools.
- Collaborate closely with SAP BASIS, development teams, and functional leads to coordinate transport bundling, sequencing, and deployment scheduling.
- Maintain change calendars and proactively communicate planned releases, freezes, or upgrade timelines to stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot transport failures or ChaRM-related issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Ensure proper configuration and continuous improvement of SAP Solution Manager’s ChaRM functionalities, including integration with external ticketing or demand systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Provide guidance and training to project teams and support staff on ChaRM best practices and governance policies.
- Track and report on change throughput, rejection rates, SLA compliance, and audit readiness of change processes.
Enterprise-Level Communication:
- Develop and distribute communication materials: newsletters, executive announcements, infographics, FAQs, and internal updates.
- Translate complex SAP/IT topics into user-friendly content for business and technical audiences.
- Support OCM efforts through stakeholder messaging, readiness content, and engagement planning.
- Manage content across internal platforms like SharePoint, Teams, and Sway.
- Track engagement metrics and feedback to refine communication strategy.
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with external SAP service providers to ensure adherence to SLAs, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Facilitate onboarding, reviews, and performance feedback for vendors supporting SAP initiatives.
- Participate in vendor selection and contract renewal discussions in collaboration with procurement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- 4–5 years of progressive experience within an SAP environment, with hands-on exposure to Demand Management, Change Management, or other relevant functional areas.
- Solid understanding of SAP modules and their lifecycle management, including familiarity with SAP ECC; experience with S/4HANA is considered a strong advantage.
- Proven experience working with demand intake, issue tracking, or project management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or equivalent platforms, with the ability to leverage these tools for effective workflow management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse enterprise-level audiences including business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior management.
- Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and presenting data; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Power BI, or other data visualization and reporting tools are highly desirable.
- Prior experience in vendor management or coordination, including engaging with external service providers, monitoring performance, and facilitating collaboration to ensure delivery excellence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin or Spanish) is a plus and supports global collaboration.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP or equivalent Project Management certification.
- PROSCI Change Management or similar certification.
- SAP Certification(s) in relevant modules (preferred but not mandatory).
- ITIL Foundation certifications
