IT Engineers are high-level IT personnel responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining a company's computer systems. They test, configure, troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking systems to meet organizational needs. IT engineers may also train staff and manage projects.
What You Will Do
- Manage and support IT operations for AMETEK Malaysia (Plant 1 & 2).
- Support Windows Client and Server Operating Systems, Software, and Hardware.
- Create and delete Active Directory user accounts.
- Hands-on experience with Windows XP, 7, 10, 11, Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Hyper-V, Nakivo Backup & Replication, HP Systems Insight Management, HP iLO, Intune, and Nexpose.
- Manage and remotely support IT vendors in Singapore and Taiwan.
- Maintain Data Center/Server room.
- Plan, design, install, and administer local area networks and other systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Resolve application and network issues remotely, including mail configurations.
- Interact with end users to determine software and hardware needs and provide timely support.
- Set up user accounts on company servers and perform system updates to ensure security.
- Create purchase requisitions and coordinate with the purchasing team for IT purchases.
- Track IT software and hardware inventory to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage business network integration, including domain migration, email migration, and infrastructure integration.
- Handle and maintain IT SOX compliance and IT policies.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of Microsoft Navision to support business users.
- Manage outsourced IT support.
- Manage mobile devices.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities.
We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems.
- Familiarity with OS systems, enterprise applications, programming languages, and Office software.
- Knowledge of LAN and wireless networks.
- Project management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
- Ability to identify potential issues in system configurations.
- Knowledge of database and network security systems.
