Job summary

TASCO Berhad is seeking an IT Security professional to monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents across servers, networks and cloud environments. You will implement controls, perform vulnerability assessments, and manage security tools to protect critical assets.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands‑on IT Security/Cybersecurity experience
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field
• Solid understanding of network security concepts (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS)
• Endpoint security and malware protection
• IAM
• Security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
• Experience with Windows environments
• Ability to analyse logs, security events and incidents
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices

Requirements

3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience in IT Security / Cybersecurity roles (preferably in Fortinet environment).

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Solid understanding of:

Network security concepts (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS)

Endpoint security and malware protection

Identity and access management (IAM)

Basic security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.)

Experience with Windows environments

Ability to analyse logs, security events, and incidents

Good problem‑solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and documentation skills

Added Advantage

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft/Fortinet/Cisco certifications, or equivalent

Experience with cloud security (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 Security)

Knowledge of penetration testing, SOC operations, or threat intelligence

Knowledge in backup systems such as Veeam
