BAT Digital Business Solution has an exciting opportunity for an IT Configuration Management Governance Manager in Subang Jaya

Responsibilities

• Asset Management/CMDB Strategy & Governance
  • Maintain and evolve the BAT Asset Management/CMDB strategy aligned with ITIL and business objectives.
  • Maintain and evolve and enforce governance policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Configuration Item (CI) Lifecycle Management
  • Maintain CI identification standards and naming conventions.
  • Oversee CI lifecycle processes including creation, updates, retirement, and deletion.
• Data Integrity & Quality Assurance
  • Lead regular audits and reconciliation activities to maintain data accuracy.
  • Implement automated validation and reconciliation processes.
  • Data Certification governance and follow-up to ensure periodic updates to manually maintained data attributes.
• Relationship Mapping & Dependency Management
  • Ensure accurate CI relationships are maintained to reflect infrastructure and service dependencies.
  • Services to be modelled inline with BAT’s adoption of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • E2E Business Service Maps (BSMs) to be maintained by linking Services to their supporting infrastructure.
  • Ensure BSMs are updated in line with changes in the IT landscape.
  • Ensure new IT Services get their BSM developed at launch.
• Integration & Interoperability
  • Ensure data integrations (Discovery and inter-system integrations) are functioning and performing as expected.
  • Ensure seamless data flow across BAT platforms.
  • Ensure precedence rules are maintained and evolved as required.
• Reporting & Metrics
  • Maintain and evolve dashboards and KPIs to monitor CMDB & CSDM health and performance.
  • Provide actionable insights to partners through regular reporting.
  • Where corrective actions are identified, ensure the appropriate remedial work is undertaken by the appropriate teams.
• Partner Engagement & Training
  • Act as the primary contact for CMDB & CSDM-related queries.
  • Deliver training and guidance to IT and business users on CMDB & CSDM best practices.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and drive initiatives to improve CMDB usability and data quality.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates and industry trends.

What are we looking for?

• 3–5 years of proven experience in ServiceNow CMDB administration, configuration management, or IT asset data governance.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and data governance principles.
• Proven experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and partner management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive data quality improvements.
