Position Title: IT Business Performance Analyst
Division: Group IT
Reports to: Head of IT Business & Risk Management
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The IT Business Performance Analyst plays an important role in driving the performance, efficiency, and strategic alignment of the IT function. This role supports evidence-based decision-making by providing analysis, reporting, and insights into IT operations, project delivery, service performance, financial management, risk and compliance. The Analyst collaborates with IT stakeholders, gathers data, tracks KPIs, and suggests improvements for informed decision-making.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Performance Reporting and Analytics
- Development of reports and dashboards to provide insights into IT performance and to inform better decision-making
- Prepare regular management and dashboard reports to provide insight into IT operations, programs, financials, risk, compliance and other performance areas to support decision making and inform progress against service delivery outcomes
- Track and report on KPIs aligned to IT strategy, operational efficiency, and business value.
- Analyse data to identify performance trends, cost drivers, service issues, and improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders through effective communication of business risk, compliance and governance standards, practices and management.
- Ensure timely and effective communication of IT’s performance to stakeholders across the Toll organisation
- Assist the Head of IT Business and Risk Management with managing IT-wide communication including IT Town Hall and roadshow planning and execution.
Essential
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience in IT business analysis, performance reporting, or similar analytical roles.
- Strong skills in data analysis, reporting visualisation (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and storytelling with data.
- Understanding of IT service management (ITSM), project management methodologies, and performance frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with ITIL practices, KPI frameworks, and business performance metrics.
- Strong experience with desktop tools such as MS Powerpoint, Excel, and Word.
Desirable
- Experience with enterprise IT platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Planview, Sharepoint).
- Familiarity with financial modelling in an IT context.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
- ITIL Foundation certification desirable.
- Additional certifications in data analytics, business analysis (e.g., CBAP), or project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) desirable.
