Job summary

AirAsia Berhad is seeking an Executive, IT Audit to assess technology risks and evaluate control effectiveness across the Group’s systems and IT operations. You will support risk-based audits, identify control gaps, and propose improvements to strengthen information security, resilience and IT governance.

You will work with stakeholders to validate findings, document evidence, and ensure actions are followed up to address deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Understanding of IT controls, technology risks and information security principles.
• Experience in IT audit, IT risk, cybersecurity or technology operations; familiarity with audit procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001 and ITIL.
• Analytical thinking and good judgement when assessing risks and controls.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for reports and findings.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, SQL or other data analysis tools for audit testing.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.
• Integrity, objectivity and discretion when handling sensitive information; certifications like CISA/CRISC/CISSP/CISM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk-based IT audits across Group entities.
• Assess IT general controls, including access management and change control.
• Evaluate application controls for data integrity and core processes.
• Review cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud services, and third-party technology controls.
• Assess system development, implementation and project governance controls.
• Review backup, disaster recovery and business continuity controls.
• Use data analytics to identify exceptions and strengthen audit coverage.
• Prepare audit workpapers and evidence-based findings with actionable recommendations.
• Engage stakeholders to validate findings and track corrective actions.
