The IT Application Support/Developer (Multiple specializations available) is responsible for the end-to-end development, implementation, maintenance and support for systems in Hong Leong Bank. The jobholders are responsible for ensuring the amendment and enhancement meet user functional requirement specifications, and that all documentation, processes and methodologies used in the various phases of system development and implementation are in accordance with the Bank’s standards and able to facilitate future maintenance and enhancements.

There are multiple roles available - which the required skillsets may vary.

Generic Job Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for converting business user requirement into technical/functional requirements for system development
• System analysis, functional design, functional specification documentation and have proactive communications and collaborate with business and technical personnel for analysis and design.
• Liaise with business users to define systems requirements
• Ensure amended and enhanced systems meet user functional requirement specifications
• Ensure good functional specification documentation
• Ensure that all documentation, processes and methodologies used in the various phases of system development and implementation are in accordance with the Bank’s standards
• To provide clear instructions and directions to technical team for system development and enhancement
• Ability to develop, document, and maintain operational policies and procedures, including the design and documentation of detailed process flows, and the development of marketing and training materials
• Provide expert advice for best solution to product owners, business users and development team
• Provide options/alternatives available to address Users Business Requirements and recommendation on software solution
• Prepare functional test scripts, conduct review of system tests, to ensure accuracy and to ensure quality of the system or enhancement
• Proposal on enhancement of applications for better performance and user experience

Experience & Skillset

• More than 6 years of experience in IT Enterprise Applications related functions – development & support in financial institution environment.

Optional for the following skillset, depends on specialization:

• Experience in application server clustering, performance tuning and testing
• Experience in developing applications using components with Java (J2EE)
• Experience working and administering with Jboss applications in Redhat
• Hands on experience in Apache Tomcat, JIRA, Java programming, CSS
• Experience with databases like Microsoft SQL, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Jasper Report or Oracle
• Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms, Spring Framework and Java Server Faces (JSF)
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Generic for all host RBS/EBS/EPP/HT/Asccend: Experience in RPG/CL programming in the AS400 platform environment
• In depth understanding of framework design and architecture
• Ability to articulate issue & capable of providing long term solution with short term mitigation plan
