This role involves maintaining core Card systems, gathering user requirements, developing technical solutions, and ensuring compliance with standards. In the IT Application Support (Credit Card Technical Support) role, you'll be crucial to maintaining and enhancing the core Card system (ASCCEND). This involves everything from software application maintenance, development, and implementation to providing essential support. You'll actively participate in user requirement gathering, feasibility studies, and evaluations, translating these into precise technical specifications. Your responsibilities will also include developing technical solutions, leading and supporting user acceptance tests, and managing production roll-out activities. Beyond project work, you'll provide daily production system support and promptly address business user requests. Ideal candidates for this role are highly motivated, independent, and excellent team players with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Functional (job responsibilities)
Responsible for systems study, applications design and development for Card system and all the related interfaces with downstream systems
Participates in user group meeting and provides information to facilitate users requirements gathering and decision making for business solution proposal.
Ensures amended and enhanced systems meet user functional requirement specifications.
Attend to daily business users requests and participate in activities like IT Disaster Recovery Plan,
Project implementation and system maintenance activities.
Ensures all documentation, processes and methodologies used in various phases of system development and implementation are in accordance with the Bank’s standards & methodologies.
Ensure all internal (Audit & Risk) and external (Visa/MC/UPI, Paynet, PCI) compliances are fulfilled in Card related applications.
Ensures appropriate controls are built into business applications to attain stability, security and reliability of technical deliverables.
Recommends production fixes and online / batch performance improvement measures.
Handles operational duties and management functions as and when required.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
Assists Team Lead to manage and coordinate team projects/tasks and related activities.
Handles queries and correspondences with business divisions, Internal/External auditors and BNM authorities.
Notifies management on potential security problems that are not adequately addressed by existing control mechanisms.
Liaises with Project Management on projects undertaken by the team.
Assists Team Lead in managing technical activities undertaken by the team in accordance with the guidelines and compliances as stipulated by BNM.
Assists Team Lead in liaising with relevant IT depts on production issues and impacted services, and manages until closure.
Assists Team Lead in fulfillment of Security, IT Audit/Risk, Paynet, Visa/MC/UPI compliances.
Education/Qualification
Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Experience
Possessed at least 3 years Credit Card related experience, working on Card System will be an added advantage
Working knowledge in the following programming languages :-
1) AS400 Control Language Program
2) AS400 related programming language and tools
Working experience in development and implementation of large business applications with practices of
SDLC/ ASDM methodologies in a financial institution.
Independent worker with good communication skills.
Those without the necessary qualification but with relevant experience will also be considered.
Special Skills
Skills in IBM I-series AS400 Environment Online and Batch (CLP, WRKQRY, COBOL)
Experience in Credit/Debit Card, Security Device Driver (HSM), TCP/IP network drivers
