Qualifications

Job Description:

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for individuals to join us in the following roles:

1. IP Paralegal

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with intellectual property (IP) filings, prosecution, and maintenance, including patents, trademarks and franchise matters
• Manage docketing systems, deadlines, and office actions
• Liaise with MyIPO and KPDN officers
• Provide administrative and paralegal support to the legal team


2. Business Development Manager

We’re also seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic initiatives, elevate brand visibility, and help shape the future of the firm. This is a multi-faceted role ideal for someone with a mix of commercial savvy, marketing insight, and operational finesse.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development
• Conduct market research and client data analysis to support business strategy
• Identify leads, maintain relationships with existing clients, and manage the client database
• Support practice groups with RFPs, client pitches, and responses to enquiries

Brand Visibility
• Maintain and grow the firm’s online presence, including the website, social media, and legal directories
• Develop branding materials and organise PR initiatives
• Organise or support visibility activities: webinars, legal newsletters, rankings, networking events

Internal Training & Firm Culture
• Plan and manage internal training and professional development programs
• Lead team-building activities, firm trips, and culture-building initiatives

Operational Efficiencies
• Review firm processes and propose improvements in IT, digitalisation, and automation to boost productivity

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. IP Paralegal
Requirements:
• Malaysian citizen
• Minimum diploma in any field
• 1–2 years of IP-related experience is advantageous though not compulsory as training will be provided for the right candidate
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Meticulous with strong attention to detail
• Good organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset


2. Business Development Manager
Requirements:
• Degree in Law, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in a law firm or professional services environment
• Strong proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese is an advantage
• Skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; Canva or basic design tools a plus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and research skills
• Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
