Job Title: Investment Operations Executive
About Us:

We are a dynamic and fast-growing venture capital fund focused on early-stage and growth-stage investments in Southeast Asia, with a strong presence in Malaysia.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Investment Operations Executive to support our investment and finance teams in managing the end-to-end investment operations, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and compliance. This role bridges the gap between investment execution and back-office operations, ensuring that all processes are smooth, timely, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and support the execution of investment deals (e.g., documentation flow, legal closing, disbursements).
  • Maintain and update investment records, cap tables, and transaction documentation.
  • Manage data rooms and secure document storage for due diligence and compliance purposes.
  • Liaise with legal, tax, and other external advisors during investment transactions.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze portfolio company financials, KPIs, and operational metrics.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly reports, LP updates, and performance dashboards.
  • Monitor investment compliance terms (e.g., covenants, milestones, board seat obligations).
Investment Operations
  • Coordinate and support the execution of investment deals (e.g., documentation flow, legal closing, disbursements).

Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze portfolio company financials, KPIs, and operational metrics.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly reports, LP updates, and performance dashboards.
  • Monitor investment compliance terms (e.g., covenants, milestones, board seat obligations).
Fund Operations & Administration
  • Support fund accounting processes including capital calls, distributions, and NAV reporting.
  • Liaise with fund administrators, auditors, and other service providers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry in fund management systems.
Compliance & Governance
  • Support internal compliance processes such as KYC/AML, risk assessments, and internal audits.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory reporting (e.g., SC Malaysia/BNM requirements).
  • Maintain internal SOPs, workflows, and audit trails.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment operations, finance, fund administration, or audit.
  • Experience in VC/PE, fund management, or financial services is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of investment processes and fund structures (VC/PE).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
