Job Description
- Monitor and track corporate actions (e.g. dividends, stock splits, rights issues, mergers, redemptions) across all portfolios.
- Validate notifications received from custodians or vendors and assess relevance and impact on portfolios.
- Ensure timely capture of all voluntary and mandatory events, coordinating with Fund Managers and custodians to capture elections when required.
- Process corporate action entitlements in portfolio accounting systems accurately and in line with cut-off times.
- Reconcile corporate action positions and entitlements against custodian and fund manager records.
- Liaise with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, manage exceptions, and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Maintain audit trails and supporting documentation for all actions processed.
- Assist in system testing, process improvements, and documentation updates to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the audit and reporting requirements relating to corporate actions and portfolio events.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
- 1 year of relevant experience in investment operations, securities processing, or custody operations.
- Strong understanding of global corporate actions and their impact on portfolio valuation and accounting.
- Familiarity with fund accounting systems, market data feeds, and custodian platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams with strong communication skills.
