We are looking for Malaysia talent to support our investment team under Genting Ventures Management.

About Genting Ventures Management:

New initiative of Genting Group to invest in technology start-ups that are synergistic and transformational to the group’s business and with high financial return potential. Our focus areas are broad and not only limited to gaming & entertainment, leisure & hospitality, fintech, agritech, foodtech, and even crypto. Main Responsibilities:

  • Source, screen, and evaluate new investment opportunities that are of interest to Genting Ventures
  • Conduct market research to build and refine Genting Ventures’ investment thesis across focus sectors
  • Carry out market research and due diligence of investment opportunities and create documentation for internal investment decisions
  • Manage legacy and new portfolios post-investment, portfolio performance tracking
  • Business development for portfolio companies among affiliates of Genting Group as well as external partners e.g., venture capitals, corporates, government bodies, etc.
  • Contribute to and participate in compliance and risk updates and activities
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Managers and Superiors

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years’ prior experience in a large organization with proper SOPs, M&A, and corporate finance background, preferably with experience in business development or partnership
  • Proven track record in investment transactions with attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, able to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions and recommendations
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly
  • Ability to work quickly on time-sensitive projects in a flexible, collaborative, and creative manner
  • Adaptable and a very quick learner
  • Strong interest in the venture capital and startups space
  • Strong relationship management skills to develop new connections, broaden, and deepen one’s ecosystem
  • A good team player with the ability to work well with colleagues
