A leading company in supply chain management seeks a professional to understand product demand requirements and ensure continuity of supply. This role involves analyzing demand forecasts, managing supply issues, and collaborating with various teams to support product launches effectively. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of supply chain dynamics.
Understands product demand requirements for assigned products to ensure appropriate level of supply. Aligns forecast assumptions with segment forecasters. Translates customer and financial requirements to actionable forecasts for Operations and Procurement. Governs demand consumption rates and provides early warning and mitigation options to supply issues. Maintains Continuity of Supply (COS) for assigned products to maintain standard lead times. Works with supply chain to correct supply imbalances, both excesses and shortages, as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. Establishes demand shaping programs with segments during times of supply imbalances or when required to meet shifts in regional marketing or financial plans. Manages product/peripheral transition to avoid delivery delays and E&O.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides segments with the Forecast Assumptions package, including product roadmaps, RTS dates, EOML dates, cost, price, form, feature, function, and market share. Analyzes supply-demand relationships to determine appropriate lead-times. Understands price and lead-time elasticity of products, incorporating this into lead-time management and forecasts. Works with product launch teams to ensure successful product introductions with accurate forecasts and supply. Understands Bill of Materials (BOM) structure and supply chain design and flexibility. Assesses supply supportability for commodities and identifies mitigation strategies for COS issues. Analyzes data and provides recommendations to team and leadership within the function.
