A leading telecommunications company is looking for an Inventory Manager to oversee inventory operations, including stock receiving and storage management. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in inventory management and will ensure compliance with inventory standards while fostering a high-performance team culture. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential to drive continuous improvement and maintain accurate stock levels.
Lead and manage the inventory operations team to ensure smooth daily executing of stock receiving, issuance, storage and returns.
Provide clear direction, coaching and support to team members to achieve operational KPIs and maintain high performance standards.
Collaborate with internal departments (service centres, logistics, finance) and external vendors to resolve inventory-related issues in a timely manner.
Ensure accurate and timely system updates for goods receipt, stock transfer (LTO) and return entries in the warehouse management system.
Monitor inventory control processes to minimize stock variances and enforce accuracy in all stock movements.
Supervise and coordinate weekly, monthly and quarterly physical stock counts and reconciliation activities.
Enforce FIFO compliance in order picking and stock rotation to preserve stock value and product integrity.
Oversee the return-to-vendor (RTV) and claims process, ensuring all returns are properly documented and followed through.
Review and validate condition of returned goods, documenting damages or discrepancies with root cause analysis.
Liaise with 3PL partners to track and monitor shipment and order statuses, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
Maintain a clean, secure and well-organized warehouse, ensuring all inventory is labelled, stored and sorted correctly.
Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives for inventory accuracy, space utilization and system enhancement.
Generate and analyze inventory reports to support decision-making and performance reviews.
Foster a positive team culture, conduct performance evaluations and ensure proper training and development of warehouse staff.
Perform other duties and ad hoc assignments as required by management.
Requirements
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, including at least1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
Demonstrated experience in enforcing SOPs and meeting SLA metrics.
Proficient in using inventory or warehouse management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in fast-paced environments and working with third-party logistics (3PL) is an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication in English, Bahasa and/or Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
