Job summary

Samtec Inc. in Malaysia is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain efficient shipping, receiving, and stocking operations. The role involves supporting multiple areas, rotating stock positions, and providing reliable service to customers.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods, and communicate clearly in writing. Forklift certification is preferred, with training provided to meet local standards. This on-site position is based in Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Summary/Objective

The Inventory Clerk will maintain service, productivity, and profitability of the organization..

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

• Willingness to become Forklift certified. Certification processes and requirements may vary by country or region, and necessary training will be provided to ensure compliance with local standards.
• Facilitate accurate shipping, receiving, and stocking operations
• Supply boxes to support areas.
• Rotation of following positions: X-Pin, D-Container, Stock, Receiving. The position / job rotation is varied by facilities
• Provide outstanding customer service to our customers.
• Required to perform all other functions in Inventory as directed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Backup Driver for company truck ( “The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities”.

Required Experience

• Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.

Note: The weight and lifting requirements may vary depending on local practices and regulations.

• Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
• Sense of urgency.
• Good written communication skills.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Preferred Education/experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
