Inventory Associate/Operator (6 months contract)

Summary/Objective
The Inventory Associate’s role will be responsible for receiving, movement of material to/from WIP Cage, issuing material to Production, and issuing finished products to customer orders.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Receiving:
• Review incoming documents to ensure the shipment belongs to Samtec.
• Identify any suspicious or damaged packages.
• Ensure total received quantity matches the incoming documents.
• Create Parcel ID, receive parcel vendor, and move packages to IQC/accepted cart/Production/Non-BOM transition area/outside contractor rack.
• Movement of Material:
• Pull material from Central Inventory to WIP Cage.
• Restock transferred material to IH WIP Cage.
• Packing transferred material for other WIP Cage and move to OC collection area.
• Issuing Material:
• Pull material from WIP Cage.
• Issue material to order.
• Restock balance material to WIP Cage.
• Move the issued material to Production area.
• Issuing Finished Goods:
• Pull finished goods from Central Inventory.
• Issue finished goods to customer orders.
• Restock balance finished goods to Central Inventory.
• Move the issued finished goods to QA.
• Parcel accounting, empty wooden reel cleaning & packing, document filing, and housekeeping.
• Any tasks/projects as assigned by Superior.
• Adhere to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions.

Required Experience

• 2 years in a related/similar position.

Preferred Education

• Minimum High School Diploma or related technical/equivalent experience.
