Job summary

A leading company in electronics manufacturing is seeking an Inventory Assistant in Johor Bahru. The candidate will ensure inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts, and assist with stock management tasks. Applicants with SPM or higher and a year of contract manufacturing experience are preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a contract manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems like BaaN/SAP/inforLN preferred.
• Ability to work independently and with discipline.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining inventory accuracy through proper counting and processing of material reports.
• Conduct daily cycle count to verify inventory accuracy.
• Check quantity based on system vs physical.

Job description

• Maintaining inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers.
• Conduct daily cycle count for verify inventory accuracy.
• Check quantity based on system vs physical.
• Check on system transaction error based on the variance occurs during count.
• Reconcile on the variance in timely manner.
• Follow up on the stock adjustment by respective area PIC after variance confirmation. Proper documentation and approval required.
• Others operation such as;
  • Publish aging materials report on a weekly basis.
  • Other tasks assigned by superior and HOD
• Collaboration with warehouse supervisor such as:
  • Maintain housekeeping at all times.
  • Ensure FIFO system is followed.
  • Enhance the ESD control according to SOP.
  • Ensure materials are properly stored and labeling is visible.
• Ensure security and safety of materials.

Requirements:

• SPM or higher.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a contract manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with stock counting and inventory management.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with ERP systems (BaaN/SAP/inforLN preferred).
• Ability to work independently and with discipline.
