Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Metal Solutions Trainee (Internship) to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting. You will learn operations from the inside and support engineers with spare parts inventory and process tasks.

Working hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed after hours or on weekends/public holidays. English/Malay/Mandarin communication is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in a relevant field.
• English/Malay/Mandarin communication (Required).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineer in maintaining spare parts inventory to minimise production disruption and ensure material dimensions and quantities.
• Ensure quality and quantity checks of completed fabricate parts meet customer requirements.
• Support manufacturing processes: reburring, drilling, tapping, buffing, milling, grinding and maintenance.
• Update fabricate data in POWER APPS, ERP, etc.
• Overview daily production requirements for efficiency, quality, yield and machine utilization.
• Daily observation and practice of 6S standards.
• CAD/CAM tasks ~5% of duties.

Key Responsibilities

Job Scope: Metal Solutions Trainee

1. Assisting Engineer in maintaining list of spare parts inventory to minimise production operation disruption whilst ensuring raw material dimension and quantity check and standby for machining.
2. Ensure quality and quantity check of completed fabricate parts comply to customer requirement
3. Support of manufacturing process example reburring, drilling, tapping, buffing, milling, grinding and maintenance.
4. Update and record data on fabricate system (POWER APPS, ERP, etc)
5. Overview in daily operation of respective production requirements for efficiency, quality, yield and machine utilization
6. Daily observation and practice of 6S standards.
7. Computer Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD/CAM) – 5% of tasks expected.
