Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Engineering Intern / Industrial Trainee in Penang (Bayan Lepas). You will gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities within a structured engineering environment.

You will assist in daily engineering tasks, support troubleshooting, and participate in process optimization projects while learning from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field such as Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or other engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering team in daily engineering and manufacturing activities.
• Support engineers in troubleshooting and resolving production‑related issues.
• Assist with process improvement and continuous improvement projects.
• Collect, analyse, and maintain engineering and production data.
• Assist in preparing engineering reports, documentation, work instructions, and process‑related documents.
• Support time study, process study, line balancing, and productivity improvement activities.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem‑solving activities.
• Assist with monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Support engineering projects involving process optimisation, equipment, tooling, or production efficiency.
• Participate in meetings, project discussions, and improvement activities with relevant departments.
• Perform other duties and projects assigned by the Engineering Supervisor/Manager.
