Job summary

Harvey Norman Malaysia is seeking an Internal Audit Analyst to assist in executing internal audit activities across the organization. You will conduct audits, analyze processes and controls, identify improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.

Collaborating with multiple departments, you will develop audit plans, perform risk assessments, test controls, prepare comprehensive reports, and follow up on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy is required.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIA are preferred.
• 1–3 years of audit experience in a relevant environment.
• Analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills.
• Strong English report writing and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel short distances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits to assess processes, controls, and systems.

Responsible for assisting in the execution of internal audit activities within the organization. Involves conducting audits, analyzing processes and controls, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks. Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of processes, controls, and systems across the organization.

Develop audit plans and programs in accordance with established objectives and risk assessments.

Perform risk assessments to identify key areas for audit focus and determine audit scope.

Execute audit procedures including testing of controls, documentation review, and data analysis.

Identify weaknesses or deficiencies in internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.

Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management.

Communicate audit results and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

Collaborate with management to provide guidance on internal control best practices and compliance requirements.

Stay updated on industry regulations, emerging risks, and internal audit best practices.

Assist in the development and enhancement of internal audit policies, procedures, and methodologies.

Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy professional certification such as ACCA,CPA, CIA.

Minimum 1-3 years experience in relevant audit environment

Candidate with internal audit experience preferred.

Analytical and possess good interpersonal skills.

Good report writing skills and able to communicate well in English.

Able to deal employees from various levels.

Short distance travelling may be required.
