Sime Darby Holdings Berhad is seeking a proactive Internal Audit Associate to support risk assessment, planning and testing across the organization. You will participate in audit fieldwork, review controls, and help craft recommendations to strengthen governance.

Based in Malaysia with travel to the Greater China Region, you will collaborate with teams, maintain documentation according to GIAS, and contribute to delivering value through robust internal controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/IT/Legal/Engineering or professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE) would be an added advantage.
• Graduates with about 2 years of internal audit/risk management experience with international accounting firms or large MNCs.
• Working experience in the Greater China Region will be advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Mandarin.

Responsabilités

• Assist the team leader and take part in audit planning discussions to identify potential risks, devise an audit strategy, and develop appropriate audit programs.
• Perform end-to-end audit fieldwork, including review and carry out tests in accordance with standards, policies and procedures to assess the effectiveness of the client’s internal control systems.
• Determine root causes of issues identified and collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide pragmatic and value-added recommendations.
• Conduct special audits, ad-hoc investigations and reviews as and when required.
• Assist in drafting the audit report for the team leader’s review, as well as carrying out any other work assignments requested by superiors.
• Ensure working papers and adequate documentation/records are maintained as per best practices (GIAS) to support review work.
