Job summary

AME Elite group is seeking an Internal Audit Executive to join our team in Malaysia. You will carry out audit assignments across the Group, test internal controls, and help improve processes and compliance.

Responsibilities include fieldwork, control testing, documenting working papers, drafting findings, and communicating results to the audit lead. Travel to sites within the Group is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of internal and/or external audit experience.
• Strong understanding of auditing, accounting and business processes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Internal Audit Executive to join our team. You will carry out audit assignments across the Group, test internal controls, and help improve our processes and compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Execute audit assignments in accordance with the approved audit plan.
• Perform audit fieldwork, walkthroughs and control testing.
• Review operational processes and internal controls to identify risks and control gaps.
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Draft audit findings and recommendations for process improvements
• Assess compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Follow up on audit findings and corrective action plans.
• Assist in special reviews and investigation assignments.
• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to the audit lead.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, CPA, ACCA, CA, MIA or CFE is an advantage
• Minimum 2 years of internal and/or external audit experience
• Good understanding of auditing, accounting and business processes
• Strong analytical, report writing and problem-solving skills
• Willing to travel to various sites within the Group as and when required
