Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Audit professional to plan, execute and review risk-based audits across the bank, ensuring alignment with the approved plan and regulatory requirements. You will deliver practical recommendations, support committee reporting, maintain internal audit framework, and manage relationships with local management, external auditors, and Head Office.

Audit Delivery—Plan, execute and review risk-based audit engagements across the bank, ensuring coverage aligns with the approved risk-based audit plan, regulatory requirements and Head Office standards.
Recommendations—Deliver practical, actionable recommendations that identify control gaps and strengthen the control environment while supporting operational efficiency; and assess the sufficiency of management's corrective actions to address risk and control issues.
Committee Reporting—Support the preparation and reporting of audit results to the Board Audit Committee (BAC),
Framework & methodology —Assist in maintaining and enhancing the Internal Audit framework and methodology in line with professional standards and best practices.
Stakeholder management —Build and effectively manage relationships with local management, external auditors, Head Office and regulators, while safeguarding the independence and objectivity of the Internal Audit function.
Judgment & value-add —Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to add value on business risk and control matters, drawing on product, business and technical expertise.
Primary responsible for Regulatory and Financial Market related audit, quarterly audit issue follows- up, and parent bank reporting.
Coordinate timely and accurate reporting/submissions in conjunction with the various stakeholders.
Participate or assist supervisor in analysis of control deficiencies as well as expansion and refinement of documentation for more complex control deficiencies, recommend appropriate audit rating, and to validate for issue closure.
Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to influence business partners to drive business actions and influence management on sufficiency of corrective action.
Conduct audit risk assessment and methodology; continuous development and maintaining of the internal audit framework; and contribution to the audit plan.
Any other matters assigned by the Head of Internal Auditor/ Chief Internal Auditor.
Qualification: Degree in Finance, Accounting or Banking. Relevant professional certification in internal auditing (e.g. CIA, ACCA and CBA equivalent) would be an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 10 years' internal audit experience within the banking or financial services sector, including demonstrated exposure to leading complex, risk-based audit engagements.
Knowledge: Seasoned internal audit practitioner, with strong knowledge of BNM regulatory expectations, the Global Internal Audit Standards, and the risk, control and governance environment of a licensed bank.
Skills: Sound people and interpersonal skill. Ability to build and effectively manage local management and parent bank relationships as well as take ownership and responsibility for local governance matter. Sound analytical skill and business acumen.
Treasury audit:Hands-on experience auditing treasury / financial markets operations (e.g. front, middle and back office, market and liquidity risk, valuations, limits monitoring).
Head Office audit:Experience with Head Office / parent bank coordinated audits and cross-border audit coordination.
