Marrybrown Sdn Bhd is seeking an Internal Audit professional for a full-time role in Johor Bahru, Johor. You will safeguard assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide independent assurance over internal controls and risk management inside our growing F&B network.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in internal or operations audit, strong analytical and reporting skills, and willingness to travel to outlets for audits. Fresh graduates with strong potential are welcome.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or degree in Internal Audit, CIS or related field.
• 1–3 years in internal/operations audit; fresh graduates considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with data analysis, PivotTables and lookups.
• Willingness to travel to outlets for audit assignments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Aufgaben

• Conduct scheduled and surprise audits at outlets nationwide.
• Review cash handling, sales transactions, refunds, voids, discounts and cash variances.
• Perform inventory and stock audits including physical counts and variance analysis.
• Analyze food cost, wastage, purchasing and stock movements to identify irregularities.
• Assess compliance with SOPs and internal control procedures.
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risk ratings, root causes and recommendations.
• Follow up with outlet managers to ensure corrective actions within deadlines.
• Monitor outlet performance data for unusual trends requiring investigation.
• Support special investigations and ad hoc assignments.
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen controls and reduce losses.

About the role
We are seeking an Internal Audit professional to join our team on a full-time basis in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a critical position within our organisation, reporting to senior management and the audit committee. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing independent assurance over the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and surprise audits at outlets nationwide
• Review cash management, sales transactions, refunds, voids, discounts and cash variances.
• Perform inventory and stock audits, including physical stock counts and variance analysis.
• Analyze food cost, wastage, purchasing, receiving and stock movement to identify irregularities.
• Assess compliance with company SOPs, operational policies and internal control procedures.
• Identify potential fraud, financial discrepancies, process weaknesses and operational risks.
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risk ratings, root causes and recommendations.
• Follow up with outlet managers and relevant departments to ensure corrective actions are completed within agreed timelines.
• Analyze outlet performance data and identify unusual trends or exceptions requiring further investigation.
• Support special investigations and ad hoc assignments requested by management.
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls, reduce losses and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor recurring audit findings and report significant issues to management.
• Monitoring CCTV and elevate to Operation team

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Internal Audit, Computer Information System or a related field.
• Preferably 1–3 years of experience in internal audit, operations audit, retail or F&B operations.
• Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills may also be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, PivotTables and lookup formulas.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Willingness to travel to outlets for audit assignments.
• Able to work independently and meet audit deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed audit testing and analysis with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex audit findings to n
• Experience in evaluating IT controls and systems processes would be advantageous
