Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering for their product and test engineering operations. You will gain practical experience while working alongside product, test, and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be willing to learn about semiconductor manufacturing processes. Familiarity with data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related science & engineering field.
• Basic understanding of electronics or semiconductor devices is an added advantage.
• Familiar with basic data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Point, or similar tools.

• Gain practical exposure to semiconductor product, Test, AVI T&R and Pack engineering operations.
• Understand the workflow between product engineering, test engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Participate in troubleshooting and improvement activities related to Quality and Cost improvement.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Gain practical exposure to semiconductor product, Test, AVI T&R and Pack engineering operations.
• Understand the workflow between product engineering, test engineering, and manufacturing teams and develop supervisory and communication skills through daily interactions.
• Participate in troubleshooting and improvement activities related to Quality, Cost improvement and production performance.
• Assist in root cause analysis, data collection and compilation for improvement PJs.
• Build foundational knowledge relevant to careers in semiconductor manufacturing and test engineering.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or related science & engineering field.
• Basic understanding of electronics or semiconductor devices is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with basic data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Point or similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Able to contribute ideas and work as a team.
• Willingness to learn and explore semiconductor Product and Test, T&R and Packing engineering processes.
