Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a final-year finance intern in Petaling Jaya to support end-to-end general ledger activities, including journals, allocations and period-end closings. The role offers RM1,500 monthly and the potential for permanent employment after the internship.

Working hours are Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Degree in Finance/Accounting and a proactive, highly organized approach are preferred; immediate start is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in finance or accounting; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA) is a plus.
• Working experience in GL, Fixed Asset and related field is an advantage.
• Quick learner with proactive approach; highly organized and adaptable.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist end-to-end general ledger activities: journals, allocations, inventory valuations and adjustments, period-end closing.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly and yearly closings.
• Monitor expiration dates of licenses, insurance policies and road tax; notify departments in advance.
• Maintain fixed asset records; conduct regular asset audits and inspections.
• Process stock charge-out requests with supporting documentation.
• Initiate monthly payments to landlords with accuracy and timeliness.
• Address inquiries from other departments or customers; handle ad-hoc duties as required.

Perform/assist end to end general ledger activities, inclusive of journals, allocations, inventory valuations and adjustments, period end closing activities

Timely and accurate completion of all monthly and yearly closing activities.

Monitor the expiration dates of business licenses, insurance policies, and road tax for sites, and proactively notify relevant departments ahead of time.

Ensure seamless operation of the automation process, coordinating with vendors to promptly address any occurring issues.

Maintaining accurate records of all fixed assets, conducting regular physical audits and inspections of fixed assets to ensure alignment with recorded data.

Receiving and processing stock charge out requests, verifying the accuracy and completeness of request forms and supporting documentation.

Initiating monthly payment process for landlords, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.

Promptly addressing inquiries from other departments or customers.

Handle any ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATION
