Job summary

Econsave Cash & Carry (PD) Sdn Bhd invites interns to support purchasing activities in Pandamaran, Port Klang. The role involves handling purchase orders, supplier coordination, order follow-ups, and inventory monitoring, contributing to smooth product flow within the store network.

The internship runs five days a week, onsite, with an RM 1,000 monthly allowance. Immediate start is preferred, and high performers may secure a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Degree and in the final semester.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Detail-oriented and well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing activities including purchase orders, quotations, supplier coordination and related documents.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery timelines.
• Assist with monitoring inventory levels and identifying purchasing requirements.
• Coordinate with warehouse, outlets and other departments to ensure smooth product flow.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier documentation.
• Perform data entry and maintain filing of purchasing documents.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative tasks as assigned and ad-hoc tasks.

Job description

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in any field and in the final semester.

Applicants must be willing to work in Pandamaran, Port Klang. (Please note that the work location has limited public transportation access.)

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Willing to learn and take initiative.

Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Prior retail or purchasing experience is an advantage but not required.

Candidates who are able to start their internship immediately or at short notice will be preferred.

5 working days, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm, fixed hour & on site
