Job summary

AIA Digital+ Malaysia is offering a data engineering internship for students pursuing computer science, data science, or related fields. You will work on modern datapipelines using Databricks, Python, SQL, and AI-assisted development tools under guidance from senior engineers.

You'll collaborate with data engineers, solution architects, and analysts to build scalable data workflows, ensure data quality, and document technical solutions. Internship dates to be provided by applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's student in CS/Data Science/SE or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, and software development concepts.
• Understanding of data engineering fundamentals and pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub and interest in AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines using Databricks.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
• Support the development of scalable data models and data products.
• Perform data quality validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
• Document data pipelines, workflows, and technical solutions.

ParticipateinAgileceremonies,teammeetings,andtechnicaldiscussions.

Collaboratewithdataengineers,architects,analysts,andproductstakeholders.

Qualifications:

CurrentlypursuingaBachelor'sorMaster'sdegreeinComputerScience,DataScience,SoftwareEngineering,InformationTechnology,ArtificialIntelligence,orarelatedfield.

BasicknowledgeofPython,SQL,andsoftwaredevelopmentconcepts.

Understandingofdataengineeringfundamentals,includingdatabases,ETL/ELTprocesses,anddatapipelines.
