The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join the talented team at ZONE DESIGNWORKS SDN BHD, a leading design firm in Kuala Lumpur. As an Intermediate Interior Designer, you will play a vital role in creating innovative and functional interior spaces that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key responsibilities

Produce high-quality design drawings, 3D renderings, and specifications for residential, commercial, and retail projects

Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements, and translate them into detailed design concepts

Select and coordinate the procurement of furnishings, fixtures, and materials

Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure successful project delivery

Liaise with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of design solutions

Stay up-to-date with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies

Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers within the team

What we're looking for

Degree/Certification in Interior Design or a related field

Exceptional design and 3D renderings skills.

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Interior Designer, preferably in a design consultancy or architecture firm

Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3DS Max, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders

Proven track record of delivering high-quality interior design projects within defined timelines and budgets

Passion for design, creativity, and a keen eye for detail

Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
