Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Designer with strong experience in commercial projects and shopping mall fit-outs, to join our team in supporting the design and execution of new supermarket branches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing conceptual designs, preparing 3D visuals, producing construction drawings, and coordinating site progress to ensure timely and quality completion of interior fit-out works.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop conceptual design proposals and 3D visualizations for new branch layouts based on brand guidelines and functional requirements.

Prepare submission drawings for local authorities and relevant mall management, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Produce detailed construction drawings including layout plans, elevations, and technical details for interior fit-out works.

Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, Merchandising, M&E) and external stakeholders (contractors, consultants, mall representatives).

Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.

Coordinate with contractors to resolve on-site issues and ensure smooth implementation according to the approved design and project schedule.

Ensure that all materials and finishes align with the brand’s visual identity and budget constraints.

To oversee installation and project execution at the site to ensure adherence to design intent and timeline.

Assist in sourcing and recommending furniture, fixtures, and fittings (FF&E) relevant to the supermarket environment.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design feasibility.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in interior design for commercial/shopping mall projects, preferably in the retail or F&B sector.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, or other rendering tools.

Strong knowledge in preparing submission and construction drawings.

Hands-on experience in site coordination and fit-out project management.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and travel to project sites when required.
