Job summary

An established group in Malaysia specializing in Interior Design and Construction seeks a dedicated Interior Designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating design concepts into deliverables, engaging with clients, and ensuring project execution aligns with timelines and quality standards. Ideal for dynamic individuals looking to be part of a growing team, willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interior Designer.
  • Willing to travel and assigned to outstation when required.
  • Able to work under a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and present interior design concepts to clients.
  • Prepare drawings for tender submission and monitor project development.
  • Conduct site meetings and inspections throughout project duration.

Job description

Understand the design & concept of Interior Design drawings to propose and present the concept & idea to the client;

Prepare client presentations, preliminary plans, conceptual & mood imagery, sketches, FF&E samples & schedules and drawings to company standards;

Provide professional advice on space planning, design conceptualization, and able to sell drawing concepts to clients;

Prepare drawings for tender submission according to submission requirement;

Responsible for full set of construction drawing/ shop drawing/ technique drawing upon awarded;

Monitor all project development from inception, planning, designing, tendering, construction to complete within deadline;

Liaise with suppliers regarding material submission/confirmation;

Work out technical & construction details including loose furniture & fixed furniture items for factory production;

Understand and implement the project design intent, overseeing and contributing to the construction documentation and execution of construction;

Attend & conduct site meetings, inspections, and measurements during project period.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor/Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.

Candidate must possess at least 1 year(s) of working experience as Interior Designer.

Willing to travel and assigned to outstation when required.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3ds Max & Photoshop skill.

Experience in high rise project is an advantage.

Able to work under a fast-paced environment.

Monday to Friday (9am to 6pm), Alternative Saturday 9am to 1pm. (ONLY 2nd and 4th week of the month)
