• Experience in office spacing planning.
• Prepare and participate in client presentations.
• Liaise and coordinate with client representatives, other consultants, and suppliers involved in project assignments.
• Prepare presentation drawings – 3D, plans & elevations, sketching design concepts for presentation material during schematic design.
• Knowledge of using computer applications (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, 3D Max, PowerPoint).
• Responsible for researching and sourcing products/materials and technical concepts to support the design team on technical issues influencing concept development. Lead the design team to develop design concepts.
• Sketch / prepare 3D/preliminary design layout plans, detailed drawings including electrical layouts.
• Monitor/supervise all design drawings and documentation to ensure they are checked & verified before issuance.
• Specify materials and furnishings, décor, and finishes such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures for samples & material boards.
• Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion.
• Conduct on-site observations and provide recommendations to streamline ongoing design projects.
• Attend technical and site meetings (must be technically sound).
• Ability to work long hours to meet deadlines.
• At least a Post Graduate Diploma in Interior Design or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
• For junior positions, prefer 1-2 years of working experience; for intermediate positions, prefer 3 or more years.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project (competent), 3D Max, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop.
