INTERIOR DESIGNER

About the role

At Konan Design Sdn Bhd, we are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Setia Alam, Selangor. As an Interior Designer, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional, functional, and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for our diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for growth and development within our innovative, design-focused company.

What you'll be doing

1. Collaborating closely with clients to understand their design requirements, preferences, and budget.
2. Conceptualising and developing innovative interior design solutions that meet the client's needs.
3. Preparing detailed design plans, mood boards, 3D renderings, and other visual presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
4. Sourcing and specifying high-quality furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories to bring the design vision to life.
5. Ensuring designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
6. Overseeing the implementation of design projects, coordinating with contractors and tradespeople.
7. Providing excellent client service and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Continuously staying up-to-date with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies.

What we're looking for

1. Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working as an Interior Designer.
3. Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite.
4. Excellent understanding of interior design principles, colour theory, materials, and space planning.
5. Ability to translate client requirements into functional and visually appealing design solutions.
6. Strong problem-solving, project management, and time management skills.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
8. Passion for interior design and a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends.
