Qualifications

• Able to manage the entire local or overseas project from preparing the scope of works and timeline to conceptualizing design into a finished project according to corporate identity and standards.

• Develop presentations that may include space planning, layouts, sketches, renderings, 3D perspectives, and material boards.

• Coordinate with internal design support members and project management teams.

• Work closely with several internal departments supporting design and technical tasks.

• Develop and maintain relationships with various departments to ensure timely progress of design and project completion.

• Meet with mall management for design concept presentation and technical discussions.

• Manage and lead projects through to handover.

• Oversee overall project progress, analysis, costing, and scheduling, providing updates to management as needed.

• Plan and manage projects, including coordinating with subcontractors and controlling renovation and interior design-related works.

• Prepare Bill of Quantities for each project and post-completion reports.

• Collaborate with M&E consultants, lighting consultants, structural engineers, and contractors during design and renovation stages.

• Work closely with mall management to oversee renovation until completion.

• Conduct final inspections with landlords and local authorities before work completion to obtain approvals and ensure smooth handover during testing and commissioning.

• Support store maintenance and handle ad-hoc tasks, ensuring all maintenance work progresses as per quotations.

• Perform other tasks as instructed by superiors.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree/Master's in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.

• Preferably 4 years of experience in retail industry project management.

• Fluency in Mandarin, English, and Malay is an asset.

• Experience in dealing with contractors and mall operators.

• Good budgeting and general math skills; understanding of design drawings and project documentation.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe software.
