Job description

A rewarding and business-facing assignment for a finance professional who enjoys the fast-paced environment of manufacturing (FMCG).

You will act as the day-to-day finance lead for a modern and growing manufacturing site. While month-end and balance sheet accounting are centralized, your role focuses on proactive business partnering and P&L influence.

You serve as a vital link between finance and the GM/operational leadership team across the production facility.

This is a £50m+ turnover business with many moving parts and ongoing activities.

Ideal candidates are those who can confidently engage with manufacturing teams, build relationships quickly, and understand the key success levers such as cost, margin, and profit in a large, modern factory setting.

You should be a natural communicator—an accountant who can bring the numbers to life by connecting with operational and commercial teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and support projects.

You will be:

• An experienced interim finance professional with a background in partnering with site leadership within fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Someone who enjoys delving into the business to understand and influence key drivers like material and labour variances, product costing, yield, wastage, NPD performance, and capex ROI.
• A relationship builder comfortable engaging in manufacturing areas and sharing insights from MI packs.
• A leader capable of coaching and developing a small team of finance business partners.
• A highly astute, qualified accountant with strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Manufacturing experience is essential, along with CIMA or an equivalent qualification.

This is a 6-month initial assignment starting ASAP, paying £500/day (inside IR35). The role is site-based, four days per week in Wiltshire.
