Becton, Dickinson, and Company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a seasoned finance professional to lead the Intercompany reconciliation and closing processes. You will manage a team, ensure timely and accurate intercompany activity, and uphold IFRS/GAAP compliance.
You will partner with GPO and regional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, monitor KPIs, and ensure mitigation of risks while supporting global transformation initiatives.

Job DescriptionPeople Management:
Lead the team responsible for the reconciliation and intercompany(IC)process
Responsible to guarantee reconciliation andICteam are compliant andtimelyexecution of activities in scope
Process Ownership:
Ensuretimelyandaccuratereconciliation andICtransactions, guarantee compliance with accounting standards.
Supervise the reconciliation accounts cycle and ensure unreconciled items are investigated and well reportedin a timely manner.
Review and approve Intercompany deliverables and month-end close activities.
Review and approve Intercompany SOPs and work instructions prepared by BPO partners.
Partner with the Global Process Owner (GPO) toidentifyenhancement opportunities and implement best practices.
Continuously assess and refine processes to boost efficiency, ensure accuracy, and compliance – discuss any Continuous Improvement opportunities with the GPO
Standardization and Continuous improvement management:
Support the globaltransformationdeployment ensuring adoption and driving efficiency, effectiveness, and standardization
Regionally develop andmaintainstandardized procedures and guidelines forIntercompany
Monitor KPIs related toIntercompanyperformance
Stakeholder Management:
Act as Key point of contact for various finance stakeholders in the Region
Collaborate with GPO toidentifyprocess improvement opportunities and propose best practices.
Identifyand support training programs for finance and operational teams to ensure understanding and adherence to Reconciliation andIntercompanyprocesses.
Foster strong collaboration between outsourced team and key regional stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
Risk Management:
Identifypotential risks associated with the Reconciliation andIntercompanyprocesses and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure that all processes comply withrelevant financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles, international financial reporting standards (IFRS), andgenerally acceptedaccounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiencyin financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, or Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to interpret complex financial data andprovideactionable insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to drive collaboration with senior leaders
Ability to influence people at all levels locally, regionally, and globally
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, ora relatedfield.Master’sdegree is a plus.
A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related area, with a focus on Intercompany.
Previousexperience in a Record-to-Report function or similar finance sub-function isadvantageous.
Understanding oflocal statutory requirements and international financial reporting standards.
