Overview
You are responsible for coordinating the control and instrumentation (C&I) maintenance tasks throughout the entire site. You need to support Instrumentation Engineer in executing project works including involving in Turnaround and Shutdown activities, including overseeing the contractors.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Execute all maintenance types of instrumentation including control element, safety instrumented system, analytical control equipment and building automation to guarantee safe and reliable operation.
- Assist in the execution of engineering project plans to ensure seamless implementation of new C&I projects.
- Gather and input pertinent data from operational records, inspection reports, and testing results to monitor the reliability and health of critical equipment.
- Work closely with immediate supervisors to assess equipment condition using condition-based monitoring techniques, providing recommendations for reliability enhancement.
- Manage maintenance and project work orders, along with associated documents such as checklists, service reports, and maintenance records by either in-house personnel or contractors through available systems to ensure thorough documentation and traceability of all tasks.
- Ensuring the availability of suitable tools and maintaining workshop equipment in optimal condition for plant maintenance tasks. Providing recommendations to the Superintendent for the specification, selection, and procurement of test equipment, workshop tools, personal tools, test benches, etc.
- Compiling spare part inventories, ensuring their accuracy and availability through the E&I spare list in the shared drive and BOM, and notifying the Superintendent of any new parts needed.
- Executing maintenance tasks following established E&I maintenance procedures and offering feedback for ongoing enhancements to work procedures.
- Collaborate with plant engineers, executives, and planners to identify essential third-party resources (e.g., scaffolding, lagging, fabrication) required to carry out activities.
- Verifying the use of updated drawings and manuals for work execution, assisting engineers in identifying outdated documents and references.
- Compiling work packages for TAR and other designated projects. Reviewing existing procedures or developing new ones as necessary.
- Participating in plant/equipment investigations as needed.
- Maintaining comprehensive maintenance records for the equipment in compliance with site Reliability and Asset Management framework
- Preparation of daily report and follow up daily activities.
- Report back on actions from HSSE committee or any other meetings or workshop to team members as well as superiors.
- Represent work team on site meeting
- Act as a supervisor for contractors
- Guide junior E&I team members as well as internship members to help them improve their technical skill.
- Train groups of people on technical subjects within own area of expertise.
- Fulfill any other duties assigned by leadership.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering of equivalent; Certificate in Electrical Competent Person (A4) from Energy Commission will be an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years in Oil, Gas & Chemical Plant Industries with major exposure in the Instrument field.
- Knowledge and experience in various field instrumentations, Special Vendor Packages Instrumentations and Control Elements.
- Good teamwork and adapting to fast changing priorities and time pressures.
