We are currently looking for a high caliber candidate to fulfil our Instrumentation Geologist position.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the technical operations of the Company
Plan, manage, coordinate and monitor project operations, including the allocation of resources and preparation of monitoring reports
Ensure that the quality procedures and other requirements of the quality management system are strictly adhered to and implemented
Preparation and review of the quality procedures, including any necessary amendments, and their implementation
Handling of customers’ complaints, and the implementation of corrective actions
Implementation of quality checks, including audits and reviews
Ensure the confidentiality of monitoring reports by restricting the number of copies available, and to ensure that all copiers are signed by the Managing Director
Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities so instructed by Operation Manager
Supervise the maintenance and calibration of equipment, the safe keeping of operating instructions, and the replacement of faulty equipment
Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities so instructed by Management
Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance to drawings, specifications, procedures, etc
REQUIREMENTS
College or University graduate or above in Civil Engineering / Surveying / Geology or equivalent.
More than 3 years’ relevant industry experience in instrumentation (Realtime & Manual) and monitoring works.
Experienced in the field of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring solutions. Involved in prominent construction projects ranging from tunnels, deep excavations and reclamations. Poses exceptional interpretation and analytical skill in data acquisition, databases management and real-time monitoring of geotechnical instrumentations.
To interact with geotechnical experts to enhance and explore advance geotechnical assessment ranging from analysis of geotechnical dataset, interpreting soil parameters and usage engineering design software.
Utilized extensive analytical skills to create, prepare and update instrument calculation sheet for each instrument installed ahead of the projected time.
Meticulously documented, managed, reviewed, and updated various geotechnical instrument data sheets and database while adhering to clients engineering guideline
Developed method statements, proposals, monthly reports, and other necessary documents for instrument maintenance to ensure compliance to safety, specification, standard and procedure to achieve highest quality of work.
General knowledge of electrical systems, wireless communication, computer networking, or land surveying a plus.
Show keen interests in construction, high-tech instruments, and using technology in construction.
Experience in JKR or JPS projects and strong connection with industry contacts is an advantage.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Words, Excell spreadsheet & AutoCad.
