Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for selling products, systems, and services within a designated market/division, aligned with division strategy. You will achieve sales targets to ensure order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

The work model for this role is: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid) or Onsite (#LI-Onsite). This position contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytic Business, based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

You will mainly be accountable for:

  • Selling ABB instrumentation products (Level measurement, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, flow meters, etc.) focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand needs and promote ABB’s product and service offerings.
  • Performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans for potential order shortfalls.
  • Creating value for customers and ABB, ensuring successful transactions through effective sales techniques.
  • Communicating delivery times, payments, and terms in line with ABB’s strategy.
  • Identifying and developing new market opportunities.
  • Managing sales administrative procedures, supporting cash collection and project management, and preparing offers in coordination with relevant departments.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • Over 2 years’ experience in instrumentation sales, specializing in level measurement and field instruments (pressure, temperature, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge of targeted customers, including end users and EPCC.
  • Experience in key account management and large project pursuits.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills. Experience in strategic pursuits and framework agreements is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the instrumentation market, especially level measurement and field devices, is advantageous. Channel partner engagement/management experience is also a plus.
