Job description

Job Description

Functions:

  1. To liaise with CAAM and other relevant national airworthiness authorities on all matters pertaining to airworthiness requirements.
  2. To implement and maintain a system of audit, surveillance and sampling inspection to effectively ensure that all activities in Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation pertaining to the continuing airworthiness of aircraft, engines, components, APU and associated equipment are accomplished in accordance with the Company and CAAM requirements.
  3. To monitor and manage corrective and preventive actions resulting from an audit/surveillance and ensure the implementation.
  4. To initiate and conduct aircraft accident/incident investigation to identify and establish the root cause and basis for formulating preventive measures.
  5. To develop, update and amend procedures pertaining to QA department and to ensure that they are accomplished in accordance with the Company and CAAM requirements.
  6. To coordinate with relevant departments within AirAsia and CAAM to ensure Induction or Delivery/De-Registration of Class 1 product is in accordance/compliance to AirAsia and CAAM’s requirements.
  7. To perform an evaluation or audit of AirAsia’s vendors/suppliers and contractors to ensure effective quality system controls are in place to meet the requirements of the Company and CAAM.
  8. To conduct Conformity Inspection following a modification or repair application based on approved data.
  9. To actively monitor and ensure legibility of all documentations in their specific functions, at the same time administer the retention, archive or disposal of their records.
  10. To administer CAME, EPM, Quality Notices, QA Forms and other relevant publications.
  11. To carry out any other tasks as directed by the HQA and QAI (Lead).

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  1. Holds a valid and current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence on either Category B1 or B2 issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
  2. A minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance certification experience.
  3. Good understanding in Malaysia Civil Aviation Regulations and CAA Malaysia Requirements, such as CAAM CAMO, Part 145, Part 147, etc including Safety Management System.
  4. Proficiency in English, with good report-writing and presentation skills.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Computer literacy is essential to the position.
  7. Familiarity with auditing processes and standards, including ISO 9001 or equivalent certifications will be an advantage.
