THE CENTER FOR GEOPOLITICS

Recognizing the complexity surrounding unprecedented shifts in global power dynamics, BCG’s Center for Geopolitics cuts through the noise to bring both clarity and action to the intersection of geopolitics and business strategy. The Center for Geopolitics merges advanced geopolitical insights with BCG’s world-class analytical capabilities to not only better understand these dynamics but also anticipate and prepare for the future. Partnering with global leaders on their journey, BCG’s Center for Geopolitics acts as a north star in a world that’s constantly in motion, helping businesses navigate what lies ahead by offering tangible pathways in response to geopolitical developments instead of mere predictions. Our deep bench of experts uses decades of experience across industries and capabilities to deliver fact-based geopolitical strategies that empower leaders to make confident decisions that are in tune with global business realities.

  • Content Development: Work with experts to develop and curate high-quality content on the implication of geopolitics on business. The content will involve longer term research projects as well as rapid response perspectives to the changing global landscape. This will be across various format from articles, reports, op-eds, presentations, social media and leadership briefings.
  • External Network Management: Nurture the Center’s external network including strategic partnership, thought partners and broader community to further develop intellectual property.
  • Content Amplification: Orchestrate go-to-market of priority content to maximize impact and engagement.
  • Program Management: Manage priority projects coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • Educational Background: Advanced degree in public policy, international relations, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: Ideally 8-10 years of experience in working within geopolitics, international relations, economics or related fields with links to the private sector. Experience working cross-borders in multiple Asia Pacific markets is critical.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication & credibility (written and verbal), and stakeholder management skills; comfort with ambiguity; ability to manage sensitive topics.
  • Mindset: Internationally minded with exposure to private sector dynamics; agile and adaptable to fast-paced environments.

Who You'll Work With

  • Center for Geopolitics Team and Leadership: Work as a core member of the center team and partner closely with the Center for Geopolitics Leadership to define and deliver center’s strategic goals and content priorities.
  • BCG Experts: Collaborate with a core set of client-facing global experts on geopolitics, trade and investment to develop content and drive go-to-market. Collaborate with experts from other parts of BCG in relationship to geopolitical developments.
  • External Partners: Engage with external partners to drive the Center's agenda and impact.
  • Global Advantage Leadership: Work closely with BCG’s Global Advantage Practice Area leadership (Practice Area Leader, Executive Director, Marketing Senior Director) to integrate geopolitical insights into broader business strategies and marketing agenda.

  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners in a collaborative fashion.
  • Agility and Ownership: Working effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment managing many competing multiple priorities.
