Inside Sales, South East Asia

We are looking to add a member to our Industrial Measurements Sales organization.

Your primary responsibility is to grow sales revenue and support our sales team and distributors in the APAC region for our entire Industrial Measurements portfolio.

You will drive profitable sales growth through executing inside sales activities and report to the Sales Manager, South East Asia.

The ideal candidate will have 0 to 2 years of experience in inside sales or application engineering.

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers in South East Asia.
  • Qualify sales leads generated through marketing activities.
  • Engage with customers to identify sales opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide additional information.
  • Collaborate on quotations with external sales and senior managers.
  • Participate in proactive sales efforts by researching the industry, reaching out to contacts, and initiating discussions with potential clients.
  • Communicate customer needs and requirements with Vaisala headquarters as necessary.
  • Provide distributors with pricing, lead times, and pre-sales technical support.
  • Travel approximately 10-20% for internal meetings, trade shows, events, and customer visits.
  • Support inside sales responsibilities for colleagues in Australia, Korea, and India as needed.
Qualifications and Criteria:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. (or equivalent) in a technical field such as Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Process, Power, or Instrumentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Energetic team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work across cultures.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinker focused on customer needs.
