Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking a Component & ECAD Library Engineer to support new product development and sustaining engineering. You will manage component selection, AVL lifecycle, and ensure clean data for BOMs, PLM SAP systems, and supplier coordination.

You will create, validate, and maintain schematic symbols and PCB footprints, verify library accuracy, and drive standardization across cross-functional teams. Strong data management and IPC-compliant ECAD practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or mechatronics.
• 3–5 years in component engineering and ECAD library roles.
• Strong ability to read datasheets, PCNs, and reliability data.

Responsibilities

• Select and evaluate components based on technical, environmental, and application requirements.
• Manage AVL accuracy and lifecycle, including obsolescence and PCN impacts.
• Create and validate schematic symbols and PCB footprints per IPC standards.
• Maintain ECAD library standards, naming conventions, and documentation.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, and manufacturing to resolve component issues.
