Job summary

Optics Balzers Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Technology & Innovation engineer to conduct and support projects that develop new products and processes.

You will work independently and in teams, supporting Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales and Marketing, with some customer interaction. Responsibilities include improving technologies, leading smaller technology projects, developing SOPs, cost analyses, and participating in IP filings when required.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, physics or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in industry or research.
• Experience in optics industry preferred.
• Strong communication in English required for overseas reporting.
• Experience leading technical projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute on technical projects and design projects.
• Support product and process development and launches.
• Collaborate with Operations/Quality and other functions.
• Lead smaller scale technology projects locally and globally.
