A leading company in the plastics industry is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician to join their team. The role involves setting up and optimizing injection molding machines, ensuring quality production, and mentoring junior technicians. Candidates should have a strong background in injection molding, with at least 3 years of experience and technical certification, along with excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills.

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical education or certification in injection molding is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician in a manufacturing or plastics industry.
Solid understanding of injection molding processes, including machine setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Knowledge of various materials used in injection molding, including thermoplastics, additives, and colorants.
Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with injection molding machines (e.g.,Jsw , Arburg, Engel, Husky) and related equipment.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Tasks & responsibilities
Set up and prepare injection molding machines and related equipment for production runs.
Perform mold changes, including the installation and removal of molds, inserts, and related components.
Monitor and adjust machine parameters to ensure proper molding conditions and adherence to quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of injection molding machines, identifying and resolving issues such as machine malfunctions, part defects, and material inconsistencies.
Collaborate with production team members to optimize cycle times, minimize scrap, and improve overall production efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements, including the optimization of machine settings, material handling, and mold design.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies throughout all injection molding operations.
Document production data, including cycle times, scrap rates, downtime, and maintenance activities.
Support training and mentoring initiatives for junior technicians and production operators.
