Job summary

A leading IT consultancy in Johor is looking for a Data Centre Infrastructure Support Engineer for a 6-month contract role. The candidate must work shifts of 12 hours, including nights and weekends, and should have strong experience in Linux and troubleshooting network issues. Immediate availability is a must.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work shift basis 12 hours on rotation both day and night shift.
• Must have clear record for employment and criminal checks.
• Immediate joiner required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a shift in a 24/7/365 working environment.
• Participate in installation, monitoring, and maintenance of production server hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.

Skills

Good experience in Linux

Strong troubleshooting experience in Network

Cabling knowledge in data center

Data Centre Infrastructure Support Engineer

Contract role 6months & renewable

Must be able to work shift basis 12 hours on rotation both day and night shift. Willing to work on Public holiday and weekend if working schedule fall on that day.

Job Requirement

• Responsible for a shift in a 24/7/365 working environment including on-call rostered basis shift
• Good experience in Linux
• Strong troubleshooting experience in Network, storage, server and software application
• cabling knowledge in data center will be an advantage
• Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware, and software.
• Provides 2nd level technical support ,manages escalated support cases and leads appropriate internal technical resources and/or 3rd party vendors to resolution.
• Assist with server operating system and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching.
• Troubleshoot basic switch issues and replace switches
• Perform replacements of failed components such as hard drives/ DIMM
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
