Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Infrastructure Engineer to support a rapidly expanding Telecommunication Technology company based in Kuala Lumpur.

• Provide real-time server troubleshooting and technical support.
• Review and perform assessments/technical reviews on change requests for the production environment.
• Perform server maintenance, system installation, documentation, and server patch management.
• Deploy applications/infrastructure or patches to ensure quality operational services.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure adherence to ISO compliance and standards.
• Identify and resolve operational problems and initiate continuous improvements.
• Administer the entire system, including access rights, backups, and recovery.
• Participate in process improvement activities, crisis management, and post-mortem meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Ability to deploy, support, and diagnose issues in a production environment.
• Strong logical analysis and problem-solving skills.

Technical Knowledge:

• Windows Server 2016+, MS SQL Server 2014+, MS IIS 8.5+, WSUS, Active Directory, MS Hyper-V, Unix platforms (Fedora, Red Hat Linux, Ubuntu), VMWare, SAN solutions (Dell), and infrastructure network services (TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, Terminal Services, Load Balancer, VPN).
• Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure (IaaS, PaaS).
• Experience with LogRhythm, Splunk, SIEM, or container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, LXC) is a plus.
