Job title: Level 2 Infrastructure Engineer (Rotational Shift)

Location: Malaysia

The role:

As a Level 2 Infrastructure Engineer (rotational shift) , you will help drive our goals by:

  • To support infrastructure remotely and work with cross-cultural team
  • To work with JM employees and other external organisations to complete projects
  • To perform Microsoft monthly patching activities for all servers
  • To take part in the Major Incident Management process, which may mean out of hours participation in incident resolution and service restoration.
  • To supportL3teams in updating documentationsand keep it up to date in line with JM standards and policies.
  • To analyse, troubleshooting andimplementing approved and standardized resolutions.
  • To carry out any other duties within the employee’sskills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role :

  • Able to work shift (24x5) and based in the office and standby occasionally on weekends
  • Operational experience in virtualization e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, Windows Server OS. Additional knowledge in Linux (RHEL & SUSE) / Azure HCI Stack would be added advantage.
  • Operational experience in Backup Solutions e.g Veeam, PowerShell preferably in a Level 2 role providing day to day operational support.
  • Experience / Good Exposure on Storage Management & Administration (SAN )
  • Good experience in performing Microsoft monthly patching activity.
  • Awareness of ITIL principles
  • Working knowledge of planning, installation, on-going management,monitoring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of IT services and technologies.
